The newborn stage is beautiful—but let’s be honest: it’s also a whirlwind of night feeds, questions, and constant learning. If you’ve ever wished for a calm, knowledgeable presence to help you and your baby adjust, you’re not alone. That’s exactly where I come in.
I’m a Newborn Care Specialist, Lactation Specialist, and Postpartum Doula—and when I join your family’s journey, I bring a full-circle approach to holistic postpartum care that supports your baby and your recovery.
What Is a Newborn Care Specialist? A Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) is professionally trained to support families during the newborn stage (typically 0–16 weeks). My goal is to help your baby thrive and support you in feeling confident and rested.
Newborn care specialists offer:
Establishing gentle newborn routines
Overnight newborn care to support parental rest
Safe swaddling, bathing, diapering, and bottle feeding techniques
Understanding newborn cues and early infant development
Promoting safe newborn sleep without rigid sleep training methods
Lactation Support That Feels Supportive. As a Lactation Specialist, I go beyond checklists. I provide gentle, affirming support through:
Helping with breastfeeding latches and feeding assessments
Creating sustainable breastfeeding or combo-feeding plans
Pumping support and milk supply guidance
Navigating challenges like tongue ties, oversupply, low supply, and nipple pain
Whether you’re exclusively nursing, pumping, bottle-feeding, or combining methods—I’m here to support, not pressure.
Whole-Family Care: Postpartum Doula Support. The fourth trimester is about more than baby
It’s about you, too. As a Postpartum Doula, I care for the whole family by:
Preparing nourishing meals and handling light household tasks
Offering emotional support and birth story processing
Providing newborn education and hands-on guidance
Supporting physical and emotional postpartum recovery
Why All Three Together? When you work with someone who offers newborn care, lactation support, and postpartum doula services, you get:
Continuity of care through the entire fourth trimester
Less overwhelmed from managing multiple providers
Trusted, evidence-based newborn and lactation support
Cultural understanding and trauma-informed postpartum care
Culturally competent, personalized support from an Afro-Latina doula
Final Thoughts: You deserve postpartum care that’s skillful, supportive, and deeply human. Whether you’re sleep-deprived, struggling with newborn sleep or feeding, or simply in need of reassurance, I’m here to walk with you through it.
Let’s talk about how I can support your growing family with newborn care, lactation support, and postpartum doula services tailored to your unique needs.
